At RugLabb, we take your privacy seriously. By using or accessing our Services in any manner, you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined below and consent to our collection, use, and sharing of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Your use of RugLabb’s Services is at all times subject to our Terms of Use, which incorporate this Privacy Policy. Any capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Use.

You may print a copy of this Privacy Policy using your browser’s Print function.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as we improve our Services. If we make material changes, we’ll notify you by posting a notice on RugLabb’s website, sending an email, and/or by other reasonable means. If you use the Services after changes are posted, and to the extent permitted by law, you agree to the updated Policy. If you’ve opted out of legal notice emails (or didn’t provide an email), the posted notices still govern your use.

1) What this Privacy Policy Covers

This Policy explains how we treat Personal Data we gather when you access or use our Services. “Personal Data” means information that identifies or relates to a particular individual and includes information referred to as “personally identifiable information,” “personal information,” or “sensitive personal information” under applicable laws. This Policy does not cover practices of companies we don’t own or control or people we don’t manage.

We will not collect new categories of Personal Data or use your data for materially different, unrelated, or incompatible purposes without notice.


3) How We Disclose Your Personal Data

We disclose Personal Data to the categories below. Depending on applicable state law, some disclosures may constitute a “sale” or “share” (see “U.S. Consumer Privacy Rights”).

Service Providers (on our behalf): hosting/technology/communications, security/fraud prevention, support and customer service, product fulfillment/delivery, and payment processors.

  • Our payment processing partner Stripe, Inc. collects payment information to process your payments. See Stripe’s own terms and privacy policy for details.

Advertising Partners: ad networks and marketing providers.

Analytics Partners: providers that analyze traffic, referrals, and user interactions.

Business Partners: businesses you have a relationship with; partners for joint promotions/opportunities.

Legal Obligations: we may disclose data as required to meet legal/process obligations.

Business Transfers: in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, Personal Data may be transferred to a successor.

Aggregated/De-Identified Data: we may use/share aggregated or de-identified information for lawful business purposes, without identifying you.


4) Tracking Tools, Advertising, and Opt-Out

We use cookies and similar technologies (pixel tags, web beacons, clear GIFs, JavaScript) (“Cookies”) to recognize your browser, understand usage, analyze trends, learn about our user base, and operate/improve the Services. Because of Cookies, our Services do not support “Do Not Track” signals at this time.

Types of Cookies

  • Essential: required for requested features/services (e.g., secure login). Disabling may break functionality.

  • Functional: remember choices/settings (e.g., language/region).

  • Performance/Analytics: understand how visitors use the Services and measure ad performance (e.g., Google Analytics). You can opt out of Google’s Cookies via their Ads settings or the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

  • Retargeting/Advertising: collect data about your activity to infer interests and show relevant ads (see “Information about Interest-Based Advertisements”).

Session Replay Technology
We may use session replay tools to help identify/resolve issues, analyze usage, and improve Services. By continuing to use the Services, you consent to this. You can manage related settings via your Cookie preferences.

Information about Interest-Based Advertisements
We and certain third parties may use Cookies to deliver interest-based ads, including across unaffiliated properties. We follow DAA/NAI self-regulatory principles. To make choices about participating third parties’ interest-based ads, visit:


5) Mobile Text Alerts

To opt in to RugLabb text alerts, text RugLabb to 96754 and/or provide a valid mobile number and consent on RugLabb.com (or related RugLabb sites). You represent that you own/control the mobile number provided. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

By opting in, you consent to receive texts sent via an automatic telephone dialing system. Consent is not required to purchase goods or services.

6) Data Security

We use appropriate physical, technical, organizational, and administrative measures based on the type and processing of Personal Data. You are responsible for safeguarding your password/sign-on, limiting device/browser access, and signing off after use. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.


7) Data Retention

We keep Personal Data as long as your account is active, as needed to provide Services, or for our legitimate business/legal purposes. Retention varies by data type, our need for it, and sensitivity. We may retain information longer to comply with law, resolve disputes, collect fees, or in de-identified/aggregated form.

  • Profile information/credentials: retained while your account remains active.

  • Payment data: retained as needed to process purchases/subscriptions.

  • Device/IP data: retained as needed to maintain/secure systems.


8) Personal Data of Children

We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under 16. If you’re under 16, please don’t register or send us Personal Data. If we learn we collected such data, we’ll delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 16 provided data to us, contact privacy@RugLabb.com.


9) U.S. Consumer Privacy Rights

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and Utah may have certain rights (subject to conditions/exceptions). Questions? Contact privacy@RugLabb.com.

Your Rights (may vary by state)

  • Access: confirm/access Personal Data we process; request a portable copy.

  • Deletion: request deletion of Personal Data we collected about you.

  • Correction: request correction of inaccurate Personal Data.

  • Portability: request machine-readable copies, when technically feasible.

Targeted Advertising, “Sharing,” and “Selling”
As described in “Tracking Tools,” third-party Cookies may collect data about your activity for interest-based ads. Some state laws define this as “Sharing” and/or “Selling” (we do not sell for monetary consideration). You can opt out by:

  • Using your Cookie consent controls on our site; and/or

  • Implementing Global Privacy Control (GPC) or a similar legally recognized signal in your browser (device/browser-specific).

We do not knowingly sell Personal Data of minors under 16.

Profiling/Automated Decisions
You may have the right to opt out of profiling in furtherance of decisions with legal/similarly significant effects. We do not process your Personal Data in that manner.

Non-Discrimination
We won’t discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. We may offer different tiers/prices as permitted by law, reflecting the value of data.

Appeals
If we decline your request, you may appeal by emailing privacy@RugLabb.com with the subject “Privacy Rights Appeal”, including enough information to verify identity and identify the original request. We’ll respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. If denied, you may contact your state Attorney General.


10) Exercising Your Rights under U.S. Privacy Laws

To exercise rights, submit a Valid Request that:

  1. allows us to verify your identity (e.g., by logging into your RugLabb account), and

  2. describes your request in sufficient detail.

We’ll use Personal Data in your request only to verify and respond. You don’t need an account to submit a Valid Request. We will respond within legally required timeframes. We won’t charge a fee unless the request is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded—in which case we’ll inform you first.

You may authorize an agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require proof of your written permission to the agent.


11) Other State Law Privacy Rights

Nevada Residents
You may opt out of the sale of certain Personal Data to third parties who intend to license/sell that data. Email privacy@RugLabb.com with the subject “Nevada Do Not Sell Request” and include your name and the email associated with your account. (We do not currently sell Personal Data as defined by Nevada law.)
